I ask this because my current routine includes both BNP and upright rows, although, as glwanabe says, I use a wide grip on the rows, and don't pull them any higher than necessary (maybe nipple level, if that). I do the broomstick dislocates before and after every single lifting session, but is there anything else to add?

I would also suggest doing internal/external rotations berfore and after the days you workout upper body.

I have not! I did however have a shoulder labrial tear from a smith machine messing up on me. I was doing front squats and went to unlock the bar and move into position, but it got jammed and jerked my shoulder. I have swore off smith machines and dont plan on using another.

Cubans with light dumbbells are the only thing I do. For some reason, some men add presses at the end. I never understand this at all.
So don't add presses to the movement.
