Default Adding weight to a 5x5 workout

Is there any other decent method of adding weight to a 5x5 workout, or progressing, that doesn't involve linear additions every week? On some of my lifts these additions are becoming too difficult.

Looking for options.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but for me, if I completed all 5 sets of 5 (and didn't feel like I was going to die) I added 5 lbs. Every time. So, I was adding as much as 15 lbs a week to squats and deads. Other lifts moved alot slower.

You may want to try some back off sets on the weaker lifts to help them along. Experiment. Nothing has to be written in stone, advance a lift when you own it.

I'm about 6 weeks into my 5x5 routine, I try add 5lbs each day or 5-10lbs each week. If I cant handle the extra 5lbs or so I just wait Until I can. I'd like to progress faster, but some things take time.
