Coop your upper days are all push and no pull. Less pressing and more rowing needed.

Does it have to be a bodypart split?

I've had weeks where I've done the same breakdown, but I'll use an upper/lower split instead. So:

Mon: push/pull
Tues: squat/deadlift
Wed OFF
Thurs: push/pull
Fri: squat/deadlift
Sat: OFF (or a mess-around session)
Sun: OFF

There ya go! Balanced and the originator is close by to help if needed. Warning however, I had to tell both my daughter and my wife recently, don't ask for training help if you have no intentions of following it. The plan as written will work. Remind yourself when you start to stall or get frustrated... "Work the plan and let the plan work!"

People design their own splits because they have specific goals. Nothing wrong with it. Like anything, getting good at something is a process of trial and error.

I reject the idea that programming is rocket science. There's a few basics to master, but the minutae people focus on tends to be inconsequential.

That being said, what are your specific goals? If you want a big chest that looks good under an Ed Hardy shirt, the programming advice will be different than if you want a well rounded, competitive physique.

I would argue that people aren't as special as they like to think and for most novice and intermediate lifters an already developed program will more than suite there needs, no matter what there goal is.
Yes, trial and error is involved and as someone advances they will learn to tweak there routines to suite there needs, but why would a novice/intermediate lifter waste time trying to reinvent the wheel when they can use something that has proven to yield results.

Bottom line is, very rarely do novice and intermediate lifters need any sort of specialization beyond the general goals of strength, building muscle, increasing endurance, etc.
And a lot of time can be saved(by the novice/intermediate lifter) by running a proper routine and not messing around with trying to create there own program to meet there "special" self perceived needs (that don't really exist).

Just my opinion on the matter.

I am not a powerlifter nor am I a bodybuilder. I just want to be big and strong.
