Not to derail this, but have you ever used mango or clementines in combination with some spiciness on chicken? I was watching some interesting fruit and pepper combinations on a cooking show and have an itch to try something along these lines.

As long as there is food involved, its impossible to derail this thread.

I've never used mango, but I have used clementines I think (they are the tiny oranges right?) before with a Chicken w/ Spicy Fruit before.

Basically, soak the chicken in lemon juice for a couple hours, then brown it in a heavy skillet. Add in diced pineapple, clementines, raisins, and a hefty dose of crushed red pepper and bake until the chicken is cooked through. Back in the day I served it over white rice, but it works well over cauliflower rice too.

Actually, now that I hit post and thought about it 5 more seconds, I have used mangos in salsa before. You should be able to replace the pineapple with mango and have a pretty good result as well.

Mango will give you a less acidic flavor than the pineapple. It will also take the flavor from a pacific type taste to a Caribbean/ Latin style. IMHO, mango gives a sweeter flavor than pineapple.

Love that hash idea. Never tried fresh cabbage. How long is the cooking time?

About 20 minutes I think. Added the onion and cabbage in at the 10 minute mark. I had already browned the bratwurst though, maybe 3 minutes per side, to make it easier to cut up.

thanks. I assumed it would render down more like onions, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't going to pull a spinach on me.

The usual for breakfast and lunch

Dinner: 30 chicken wings in the hottest sauce I could find. Epic win.
