Yeah...I went back and read through a bit of the thread... (having posted here because the site told me to after I registered. Yes...I always do what a website tells me to...) and I still don't get it.

Hey all,
I'm Trevor, I'm 30 years old and I'm from Colorado. My physical training experience began in 1997 when I joined the Army. When I left the Army in 2003 I really let myself go... 5'8" and 250 lbs of fatty goo until 2007 when I had enough of being fat and feeling like ****. I dropped 50 lbs of fat over the course of 2007-2008 through Arthur's (from Arthur's Hall of Viking Manliness) bodybuilding for fatties: Bodybuilding 201:Weight Training for Ectomorphs, Gunter Schlierkamp, Mesomorphs, Endomorphs I stagnated once again when my daughter was born in Dec 08 and I am getting back to work using Chaos & Pain's philosophy and Paleo dietary habits. I know I'm old, but my goal is to look like Chuck Sipes and destroy any ammount of weight I feel like lifting by the time I'm 35 and maintain that until I die. Any advice is much appreciated

welcome all new comers. Sorry I neglect this thread more then I should, I compete in both strongman and powerlifting. If you need any tips or advice feel free to pm' me.
My advice to you Trevor is try to get some sort of consistency going. even if you can only manage 2days a week you can get good results if you training plan is well enough and your rest/nutrition complements it. My advice to losing weight but still being strong is to do strongman cardio instead of conventional cardio. Example Sprint 60ft with a 180lbs keg for a few sets, once a week. Each week add weight(more water or sand) or add some distance. |

How could I forget to add, keeping a training log is the most important thing to do if your serious. There is no better way to know what works then to log it down and be able to look back a couple of months to see what was and was not working then.
