Hi everyone. My name is Randy, but on here you will get to know me as lift3r. I lifted for several years, but then stopped due to an injury in a car accident. I have started lifting again and am looking for this forum as a way of inspiration.

Hey guys,
I stumbled upon this forum after just googling "powerlifting Jacksonville NC". Anyway, I moved back home to Jacksonville, NC after 4 years at UNC in January, and haven't really lifted since. I want to start lifting heavy weights again and I was just hoping to meet some people in the area maybe that I could train with, or at least get an idea on a good place to train. I played sports the entire time I was growing up through high school, and kept lifting through college. Never tried suits or anything, always lifted raw. Thanks, Jesse |

Welcome to the forum Jesse. We have quite a few lifters here from the NC area. If you get a chance start up a thread and I will refer some of the NC lifters to it and see if we can help.

Nevermind, I did a little looking around and put 2 and 2 together. I know where to go in Jacksonville to lift heavy weights after watching one of Jonathan Byrd's youtube videos. I remember him vaguely from when I was at White Oak High School my freshman year. Heard the Ozzy playing in the weight room and knew it had to be Coach Blick's. Haha.

Hey everyone my name is Zach. I was just searching the internet one day trying to find a good forum to join and stumbled upon this one. Iv been working out for over a year now, nothing major just keeping my weight down. Started at 190lbs at 5'7 never worked out in my life and one day decided I was tired of being chubby and started to run and lift. Now I am stumped on what I should do to gain more definition and muscle mass. My goal is to hopefully be somewhere around 160ish by July. All I am really wanting is just to be more defined nothing crazy just a athletic type build I guess you could say. I workout Monday thru Friday and rest on the weekends. I am currently not on any supplements just eating high protein foods. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
