Default 2/26/2013 Dog House Training

DC Training for the Old guys

THE WORK

Floor Press
10 x 95 warm up
5 x 135 warm up
7 x 160 +4 +5 +7 pounds

Seated BHNP
5 x 95 warm up
7 x 125 +5 +5 +10 pounds

Bench Dips
15 x BW (+45) +8 +8 +10 pounds

Chins
4
4
3

Rack Deads
5 x 295 +4 pounds
10 x 225

NOTES
Training partner was out sick today, so I had to do the solo old guy version of DC. Dante recommends that those of us over 40 not go to full failure, but stop just short, even more important when working solo (no spotter). Was able to work quickly after the first few warmup lifts.

Floor Press - A FP personal best for me. I should be able to hit 175 next time. I started from the bottom with these as opposed to setting the rack to start at the top. Made the rest pause sets a bit more difficult.
BHNP - Doing these without a spotter is a bit scary. Not exactly sure where to put the the rack safeties.
Chins - Barely hit my minimum reps.
Rack Deads - I probably should have taken more time with these. Added weight but missed my 6-8 reps on the 295 set

Rainy yucky day wreaked havoc with my inner ear. Slight dizziness issues with Floor Press, but okay otherwise.

JUGGERNAUT HP
Worked fast today, very focused. I didn't get the pump I had been getting, but then going solo, I wasn't able to push as hard as I have the past two weeks.

Focus - I was in the zone today 10/10
Strength - Upped Everything 10/10
Endurance - worked too fast to notice.

Nice work out brother. Solo workouts can be an issue at times. I do train by myself 90% of the time but I love my Sunday's when I train with my team. In fact makes a really big difference. Good partners or team keep you going. Keep it strong brother.

Okay, enough small talk. Squat PR ON BOTH SETS! Nuff said!
My legs are like rubber, even now, 3 hours later. That was fun!

JUGGERNAUT HP
I was amped and ready to go. Weights increased across the board. I am passed the beta tingle but loving the focus.

FOCUS 10/10
STRENGTH 10/10
PUMP 8/10 - had a good pump but not as hard and long as I have had.

This product has moved into my top two pre-workout products. Where in that top two is still up in the air.
