I think that vicks does work when you are sick. My mom always had me put it on my chest. A word to the wise though. Take it off in the morning especially on children because when the cold air hits it, it makes your symptoms worse.

We always put it on our chest. I have never heard about putting it on your feet. But if it helps you get better, do it!
