Default Ibuprofen

For the past few days I have been taking 4 ibuprofen before bed. I wake up and feel a lot better. I used to have so much trouble getting out of bed with sore muscles that they just ached. I know it is not a good solution but they are helping. I cut down to 3 last night but that did not help me like the 4 did. Any suggestions?

Actually, I have quite a few questions. If you are training, what schedule, volume, frequency, and type of training are you doing? How old are you? How long have you been training? Can you tell me how many calories/macros you are taking in, and what the content of your diet is like? Are you basically healthy or have any physical or other issues?

Hope you day goes well. Peace.

That much ibuprofen for an extended period of time is not good for your tummy. Find out what the problem is (the source of the pain), and deal with THAT instead of treating the symptom. If I have an ongoing situation, I'll alternate ibuprofen with Tylenol.

If your muscle are always sore and acheing start using ice and heat on them. They both help with recovery and you should be doing recovery things anyways.

Very good answer. Maybe throw in a stretch post workout.

If it's medically prescribed for a certain condition that you suffer from, that's one thing, but to take them purely because you ache after training (if that's what you're doing, of course) isn't wise.

I was on Ibuprofen, a long time ago, I can't recall what for, but didn't sit well with me and started to cause discomfort in the arm muscles, probably due to the TOS , needless to say, I ceased taking them.

Try massage, if it's just sore muscles from training.

This^ Better word for describing the feeling for me is 'sore'. After squat day my hamstrings are sore for 3-4 days, etc. If it's joint related, be very careful.

I do not think that it is a good idea. I believe it even says do not take longer than x amount of days. Or atleast they used to.
