How much water per day do you drink? Staying hydrated will help with stiff and sore muscle and it is also very healthy. Also try stretching your muscles.

Stretching, foam rolling, rolling on a lacrosse ball, shoulder dislocates w/broomstick. Find the tight areas and just slowly work into them - ya don't want to kill yourself, but it shouldn't be comfortable either. Getting plenty of water is always good, but I don't think hydration will help a whole lot with tightness.

dynamic stretching, strengthen the opposing muscles, i.e. tight chest = weak upper back, tight calves = weak shins
water, static stretches, trigger point deactivation.
