Dave Tate, powerlifter.

John Cena is another example of a bodybuilder using powerlifting principles.

I think the modern concept bodybuilding vs. powerlifting is merely a discussion to which you would like to compete in. I know several bodybuilders that train with powerlifting principles and methods and still earn the bodybuilder look.

I've stated this before - but I think the biggest difference in a powerlifter and bodybuilder is usually bodyfat%. Light weight powerlifters usually ripped up and look like small bodybuilders; just like overweight powerlifters look after they cut bodyfat.

I've always thought that BB want to LOOK strong and PL want to BE strong. BB comps are very subjective. PL you lock it out or you don't. Doesn't matter if you smile or have a tan.

That said, it takes alot of hard work and dedication to be successful at both.
