if cardiovascular health is the aim, i would opt for low impact cardio anway; running is bad for your skeleton, muscles, and soul.

Ill just post this and let everyone make up their own mind about this matter =)

GPP

For me, 20-60 mins of GPP including jogging, sprints, jumps, tireflips (sometimes heavy) on all off days made a huge difference in my recovery, felt awesome all the time while doing it.
