That's exactly what it was, I'm almost certain.

I was holding the bar so high to get my hands over to keep myself up, putting a lot of pressure on the cervical spine as well as placing my shoulders in a vulnerable position.

I'll need to find another way to do my calf presses so I can get full range of motion with a big enough load.

Great to hear; it may be one of those things that you're prone to in which case keeping a very strict eye on how the hands feel and making slight tweaks may help...not that you probably don't already, but just in case you may be able to do so, I thought I'd throw it out there.

I hold the bar in front similar to a shrug. I lean back just slightly, but am able to find a nice groove.
