Default Taking a shake immediatley PWO...any real benefits?

I watched a vid with Matt Kroc, saying consuming a shake PWO has miniscule effects. Thoughts?

As opposed to just eating a crap load of whole food? Or post workout nutrition in general?

My opinion is that when you're hungry, eat. I would like to hear the context of what he is saying. I'm sure he advocates eating bigger after training.

Rule #1...eat more after working hard. This is simply common sense. A shake and then a solid meal might provide minimal benefit, but I'm willing to add the extra 110 calories just in case. It's never let me down.

In all things, common sense.

Dear 77,

Stop reading the internet and just follow the advice we give you here. We won't steer you wrong and all that other non-sense will just confuse you. Every second your fingers spend clicking is a second they could have been putting food in your mouth.

Your BFF,
MC

You have to have protein intake thoughout the day. Post workout protein/carbs(Immediate to within 45min) is the most important time.

I've heard that chocolate milk is almost the perfect ratio of carbs/protein. It's the "poor mans" PW shake. Prolly just lacks some of the BCAA's/glutamine the expensive stuff has.
