They perpetually talk (obsess) about making changes (exercise/diet), but when presented with a reasonable approach they find a way to get stubborn and dismiss it.

People want results without hard work. If you want it bad enough (once you know the way), you will get after it. The sad thing is results come surprisingly quickly and are addictive. The first steps are admittedly the hardest. But you have to make them.
In the end, I really think most people just BELIEVE that once you cross 35 or get married or have kids, that you are supposed to be fat.

Yep, come across plenty of females; their excuses tend to be that they don't want hard muscles, they want to feel soft and feminine...baring in mind that this is all after they think I'm in great shape and want to know what the secret is...
...these days, I just tell them I eat chocolate, it seems to get a better response from them...
