Fitness Junk
What fitness "junk or gadgets" have you (or family members) purchased that is now collecting dust?
Come on...admit it. We know you bought that! |
Personally, I have not bought any; however, I have purchased an in door pull up bar (because of my height) and it had worked extremely well.
In addition, at one time when I was traveling (and doing dips as part of my routine at the time), I purchased a steel folding and adjustable height "walker" (like the one old folk would use), and would take it with me in my luggage and use it to do weighted dips on trips. Worked very well. |
I bought the perfect pushup once, such a waste of money..
|
I have a door pull up bar I am afraid to use.
My wife has an exercise ball, kettlebell and bands that are dust collectors. |
I have a shake weight that is collecting dust; hubby got it for fun :D

My son is a power lifter and is 6' 6" and about 300 pounds. When I used the door pull-up bar (I made my own iron configuration since then), he could use it without a problem as long as he bent the knees. I also brought this on trips as part of my travel plan at the time. |
In the past, my missus has rented a treadmill, and a dinky home gym that I outgrew in 6 weeks. Also:
Billy Brag home exercise dvds - hardly used A Wii Fit - gathering dust Yoga equipment Exercise bands Currently owns a cross-trainer, which she has used once this month, and that's the first time in a long time. I bought it for her last June as an early birthday present she asked for specifically. There's more but I can't recall it just now. |
I dont know were it come from, but i have a book called Navy Seal Fitness collecting dust in my closet.
