Fluoride spill at water facility literally burns holes in parking lot cement

What is truly amazing about the incident is that this very same fluoride, which fire chief Yerkey specifically called a "corrosive agent," is deliberately added to drinking water supplies across the nation. This highly-toxic chemical that, when spilled, requires similar protective equipment as does a radioactive fallout situation, is being added to millions of Americans drinking water supplies every single day in the name of promoting health.

In reality, the events surrounding this fluoride spill are more than enough proof for any rationally-minded person that adding this poison to water supplies is a bad idea. Anything that requires the use of a protective suit and gas mask in order to handle -- and that burns a hole directly through concrete -- simply cannot be good for the body when ingested.

It's also in toothpaste, but I don't see anyone getting fussy about that. haha

If you start with water, you also have to envision your teeth being corroded by the same fluoride. Personally, I have had both filtered well-water and regular tap water and they don't seem to make damned difference either way.

Flouride is one of them funny things (well, not that funny); some areas add it to tap water and they have less dental decay, other areas don't add it direct to tap water and have more dental cavities per capita. Then there are people that are sensitive to any added flouride, so it's not good for them in any form and it being added to the water system causes them issues.


Toothpaste, also has abrasive elements added in to it which is why they recommend no more than a small amount is applied to the brush; we just can't win.


I wonder how corosive stomach acid is in relation to flouride.
