Building Thick Abs - Indirect Work
I am currently working on a feature article relating to abs, and want to know which INDIRECT exercises you feel best contribute to building thick abs. (Abs size)
Some obvious choices are: --Squats --Deadlift --Military Press Which exercises would you add to this list and why? |
Overhead squats.
BB calf raises, especially if using a block to elevate your feet for a stretch. |
Front squats, the first time I've ever done them my abs hurt like hell.
|
Thanks guys. Good suggestions.

Sleeper row
Triceps pushdown Straight arm lateral pushdown |
I forgot the tricep pushdown. Every time I do them I get sore abs. I think that's definitely top 10 worthy.
Straight arm lat pushdown is a good one too. |
I don't know if this applies here or not but Kettlebell windmills and get ups work numbers on your obliques and core.

Is this the exercise? |
Yeah thats the windmill.
|
It looks hardcore.
