Busy Mans Workouts
Ok, so im about to start lifting again, and i was reading an article by dan john that talked about training on very limited time. In the article he posed a very interesting question, lets say u had 15mins 3 times a week to lift, what would u do. I know it sounds like a crappy bowflex commercial but seriously what would u do.

An option I think of off the bat is: Day one is a 20 rep set of squats, followed by 3 rest paused sets of leg curls or RDLs. (Not to failure) Day two would be a DC style bench drop set followed by a DC style overhead press. Day 3 would be a 8-12 rep set of deadlifts, followed by a DC style row set, and a DC style curl set. |
I think I would vary things each week
Mondays: Squat Week 1 heavy singles Week 2 20 rep set Wednesdays: Bench Week 1 Max Effort or 5/3/1 with bench and overhead press Week 2 Speed Bench and reps of overhead press Fridays Week 1 Heavy Deadlfits singles or 5/3/1 Week 2 Powercleans singles |
Mon - 20 rep squat, 3x8 benchpress
Wed - 20 rep squat, 3x8 deadlifts Fri - 20 rep squat, 3x8 Clean and OHP Just thinking loud here |
i like all these answers, but i was looking at this from more of a average persons perspective, so the average guy is gonna want to look good, you know add a little muscle drop some fat and be more athletic. with that in mind i would focus heavily on the clean and jerk and front squats
