I am not a powerlifter nor am I a bodybuilder. I just want to be big and strong.

Anyone who follows my log at all, knows what I say about squats....

"I have a love / hate relationship with squats...I hate doing them, but I love what they do for me!"

Glute ham raises on the GHR machine. Can't do 'em. Often have to be cut free from the machine by the fire department.

Snatches - apart from lifting it with your nose, it's the silliest, most unnatural way to get a weight from floor to overhead

Carrying things - because I have the grip of a nine year old.

Used to hate squats but now I do not mind them a bit. I would not say that there is one that I really hate. I have a tendency to think hey these exercises got you in the shape that you are in today, so then I do not mind doing them.

Cool

I've always hated Deadlifts.

If Regular Deadlifts are "1" and Straight Leg Deadlifts are a "10" my preference for maximum poundage would be about a "7".

My coach always insisted on "Good Form" and I always complied—but I was convinced that "Good Form" was costing me over 100 Pounds.

I also hated the idea of Baring my thighs to the World.

I thought one of the major advantages of being an Adult was that no one could force you to wear Sissy Shorty Pants anymore.

{Swimming, Posing on a Platform, Lifting in a Contest and being examined by a Doctor is on my short List of places a man (or a Boy, for that matter) doesn't look quite ridiculous with his bare thighs a shining.

I still don't see why Lifting Contests can't allow either sweat pants or Spandex pants...}

I have no problem with Straight Leg Deadlifts.

I hate Front Squats because the Pain in my Shoulder's makes them impossible to do with any real weight.

Squats. I hate them now and will always hate them even if I somehow stopped sucking at them. Yet I squat 3 times a week.
