Lifting/Fitness Mistakes
What's the worst lifting/fitness mistake you've ever made, and why?
|
I have and have had lots! Squatting in running shoes, benching flat back and bar up by shoulders, ect.!
Think the worst is listening and following advice from those who claim they know and have knowledge, but DON'T!!! Take and use information...but know the source! |
1) thinking I knew everything, should of listened to fazc early on
2) if you do not eat before Training keep to it 3) Eat more than enough |
Not keeping up with conditioning.
Start again, stop again, start again . . . |
Thinking I knew what I was doing when I started...wasted 4-5 months of prime "gaining" time before I got my head out of my ass and listened to those who know!!
|
Not sure which is the worst, not lifting heavy enough on a proper program for the first few months, which was a 20lb cut, I'm sure I lost muscle - OR - buying 3 months of time with a trainer who never taught me proper form on anything, had us on a 5 day routine with no structure at all and 20+ sets for biceps/triceps... and just kept telling me the whole time that I'd never gain properly until I started juicing.
Both pretty bad mistakes! |
My biggest mistake was choosing my own bodybuilding meals over the years instead of eating with my family.
I did this way too long. |
my biggest mistake was never staying consistent and always looking for a quick fix.

also, rushing a progression which almost always ended in injury and derailed my momentum |
Not taking enough time to rest and not eating enough food.
