How do you deal with bad mood?
Hi guys and girls!
I've been training for years and one thing that always presents an obstacle for me in terms of performance and strength is having a bad mood. Whenever I feel sad, angry or frustrated by something happening with my life, my strength and performance are considerably affected. One thing that helps me a bit is music. But that doesn't always work. How do you guys deal with having a bad mood? What has worked for you? |
Knowing why I'm in a poor mood helps me to contain the mood so that others aren't affected by it and sometimes being in a bad mood can make for a productive session, if you channel the emotions.

When I'm in a bad mood, a little shooting always cheers me up.

Understand your triggers and have coping strategies for when they arise.

I eat. Or listen to Chris Rock.

Between pizza, deadlifts, and sex, I've got my bases covered. Preferably all at the same time.

when i train. i crank up whatever music strikes my mood. can be for the length of the song or the same style or even band or sometimes the same song the entire workout. whatever triggers the emotion. I then use my time training as my meditation. its my time for me. i clear my head and just focus on the immediate task at hand.
