Its that time of year
Time for sore throats and stuffy noses and coughs. I have had it for a day and I am already sick of it. Feels like I am swallowing needles. Ouch. So just want today to be over so I can crawl into bed.

Honey. Eat a Tbsp of honey, it will coat and soothe the throat. For medicine, I like Cepacol lozenges, or anything that is more than just menthol. Look for the strongest analgesic you can find. Cepacol is one of the stronger ones..
For the nasal congestion, try Fishermans Friend lozenges. I also have used strong breath mints to get a quick nasal clearing, due to the high menthol content. |
^^^ Its Deer season... you always know that time of year, you get sick feel like poop, and the ole lady is gripping cause you stay in the woods all day.... i mean shit, it only comes once a year for a week or two at the most... come on woman.... oh well gota love 'em

A hot shower followed by a warm bed. Eating chicken noodle soup helps me as well.
Plenty of sleep always helps. I too feel like crap this week. It is really going around in my neck of the woods.
HOt shower, vicks, cough drops, lots of liquids. Rest. That will all make you feel better.
Hate this time of year for that. I know that when I feel this way rest is the best thing for me. And some hot coffee to make my throat feel better.
Love the deer and the duck hunting - hate the cold and flu season.
I have found that drinking lots of fluids helps me. And hot soup. I usually do tomato or chicken noodle, these are what mom made me. And I add mashed potatoes to my chicken noodle. May sound gross but that is what I grew up on when I was sick.
Have not really had this crap yet. That is fine by me. I hate being sick and do not want it for the holidays.
