Sore throat remedies
 

What are some good sore throat remedies that you have learned over the past years that work for you? I have a bad sore throat and I can not get into the doc until Wednesday and would like some relief. Thanks in advance.

Chocolate

Honey and lemon, with or without a dash of bourbon.

There are also topical sprays you can buy over the counter that have numbing qualities that can help.

Gargle with warm salt water. Sounds like it will sting but trust me it does help.

Any of the 3 can help. I personally think the warm salt water is the best.

food. soup with a crusty bread soaked in the broth works best for me. Even with a bad sore throat, this usually fixes me up for an hour or so, long enough to get to sleep.

I heard somewhere to eat 2tbs of honey to help a sore throat. Havent tried it myself yet.

Keep a clove or two in your mouth for few hours everyday.

traditional medicated sweets have always done it for me

Hot tea with some honey will soothe your throat. And do gargle with warm salt water as it really does help a bit.
