Now, you're just exaggerating and it only serves to hurt your point. So, save it. I was around in 2009 and I don't recall the dire apocalyptic statements from the CDC. I don't remember them b/c they didn't happen. The CDC encouraged those most at risk to get vaccinated--mostly children and the elderly. You can largely thank the media, not the medical world, for the "the world will end" plague-like sensationalism that surrounded H1N1.

Besides, if the CDC's assurance wasn't enough, you'd better strap your tin foil hat on b/c when I say "every major health organization", how about the Institute of Medicine, the World Health Oganization, the American Institute of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, the March of Dimes, and Peter Hotez, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.A.P., father of an autistic child and professor and chair of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Tropical Medicine at George Washington University. They ALL agree that there is no association between vaccines and autism.

Hell, the Autism Science Foundation said:

I know that you are against universal healthcare. I am neither for nor against it, although I probably lean towards against. I think its too easy with political issues to pick one side and defend it vehemently rather than discuss sensible alternatives, or address the major faults in the legislative and political systems. It's no longer "for the people, by the people", but "sorta for the people (at least that's what we want you to think), by the people (bought by lobbysists)" and corporate interests.

I thought that children had to be vaccinated in order to attend school. How does the parent get around this?

Probably no way around that except home schooling, unless I'm mistaken.

No I know a family that has a child and he has never had any vaccines and he is in the 2nd grade at a public school. Do not know how they got him in though.
