What we DO know about weight training
Post what you believe is a truth about weight training and diet. Try to keep it simple.
These truths should be virtually universally accepted. --Beginners should focus on compound lifts. --Volume work is more beneficial to steroid users. |
If it isn't fun to you, your success will be short-term or non-existent.
|
Keep workouts to an hour or less.
Naturals should train between 2-4 times a week. Increase weight or do more reps than you did last time to progress. |
If it hurts, stop doing it.
|
If you aint sweatin, you aint workin!
|
Higher reps don't "cut you up."

glwanabe's squat video summed up everything I know.
I'll add: When squatting, never fear the hole. The hole is where the greatest potential for strength and muscular development lies. Never fear the hole. There is no shame in failing in the hole, but rack it prematurely and go home wondering if you gave it your all. Never fear the hole. The hole is the dwelling place of champions. Love the hole. Embrace the hole. Live in the hole. |
