Use a good antibacterial soap. This will help wonders. And rinse off well with warm water so the soap does not clog the pores of your skin further.

Hi Titus,
To treat acne here are some effective tips:
Manage stress with regular workout, increase water intake and add fresh fruits and vegetable more in your diet plans. Reduce or limit refined dairy products, carbohydrates, red meat and sugar intake. Avoid caffeine, smoking and other stimulants.

These may be some good tips but you do not want to avoid red meat if you are a body builder. Sure you can be a vegetarian, but red meat is wonderful. Just saying.

It's mainly hormones and genetics. Higher testosterone spikes will cause your oil glands to produce more oil; interacting with dead skin on your face and trapping bacteria between the pores. Acne results.

Simply keeping your face clean won't always work (though you still keep doing it!), as your hormones can fluctuate a lot until you mature. I turned 20 this year and I still have moderate acne. You can treat the surface problems via exfoliation, moisturization, and medications to kill the bacteria, but it will ultimately go away when it goes away.

As for me, I've used a dermatologist prescription for a while, which cleared it right up but was/is too expensive to replace. I'm trying out tea tree oil at the moment, which is completely natural and has helped a friend of mine already. Apparently it's just as effective as benzoil peroxide without any side effects, so go figure.

I know many that say proactive works. I tried it out on my face several years ago though and it did not really work for me but others have had great results with it. I think that it just depends on your body and skin type.

Thanks for all the comments. I still have it but not as bad. I bough some dial soap and then cover it with aloe vera. This seems to be working pretty good.

Great to hear! With these things, you'll always get a variety of answers which is fantastic because a one-size remedy doesn't fit everyone but this way you get to try out what others have found works for them and see which works for you.
