An Anniversary Passed this Week

An anniversary passed this week. I completely missed it, but May 1 marked an important event in my life. Tuesday, May 1, 1995 was the day I quit chewing tobacco...cold turkey. It was 12:00 noon, in the dinky little town of Ivanhoe, MN that I spit out my last Skoal Bandit. Seventeen years, one surgery, and a bunch of oral dysfunction later, I'm still paying for that habit.

Bottom line.

If you smoke or chew, then QUIT NOW!!!!

If you don't smoke or chew, DON'T START!!!!

I smoked in the military and hope I never have to pay for that bad habit.

Congrats! I also smoked as a teen but luckily the habit didn't stay with me!

Good job. I smoked until about 1985. Quit cold turkey too. Threw about 1/2 pack away and never picked up another one. I had it so bad, I even dreamed about smoking. LOL. Best thing a person can do it get off it, smoke or chew.

Congrats, March 31st marked five yrs since quiting cigarettes.
