And, A good father. Good fathers are hard to find. We have one in Steve. Steve you perform one of the most respectable, sometimes difficult and challenging, but most rewarding functions known to the human race. There is nothing on this earth better than a man who gives his life, his heart, his time, and his spirit, to his children. Men like you who strive to give there best to their children tend to give our future a better promise. I respect you greatly for what you do. Keep your Fatherly love rock-like, steep, and strong. Relinquish your powers gradually to your children and teach them the strength--of sense of right and wrong. My hat is off to you..... ================================================== ======= Tribute to Steve: There's something like a line of gold thread running through a man's words when he talks to his daughter, and gradually over the years it gets to be long enough for you to pick up in your hands and weave into a cloth that feels like love itself. (John Gregory Brown) Fatherhood is probably the most challenging and rewarding role a male can ever perform. Give him support here in his Journal: BTB - 1800 Raw @ 242 Log. A good and regular forum member should never be without continued support within there goal journey. ================================================== ======= One of the greatest gifts on earth to a child is a man being a Dad (Chillen) You should have this one down, Steve. There are three stages of a man's life: He believes in Santa Claus, he doesn't believe in Santa Claus, he is Santa Claus. (And, this is only one of many roles). Doubly rich is the man still boyish enough to play, laugh and sing as he carries his little girls dolls, purses, brushes, dresses, mommies makeup. (Chillen) It is admirable for a man to take his son fishing, but there is a special place for the father who takes his daughter shopping. (John Sinor) (modified by Chillen) ================================================== ======= A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty. Dad, your guiding hand on my shoulder will remain with me forever. (Author Unknown) There is a special internal richness in a real Dad that sparks the internal richness in their children. When they leave the nest they digest this zest and Dad will be impressed when he sees his heart at their crest. (Chillen) Blessed indeed is the man who hears many gentle voices call him father! (Lydia M. Child) Steve, I have went through these stages with my sons, so be prepared At 4 years old: My Daddy can do anything! At 7 years old: My Dad knows a lot…a whole lot. At 8 years old: My father does not know quite everything. At 12 years old: Oh well, naturally Father does not know that either. At 14 years old: Oh, Father? He is hopelessly old-fashioned, and doesn't know anything. At 21 years old: Oh, that man-he is out of date! At 25 years old: He knows a little bit about it, but not much. At 30 years old: I must find out what Dad thinks about it. At 35 years old: Before we decide, we will get Dad's idea first. At 50 years old: What would Dad have thought about that? At 60 years old: My Dad knew literally everything! At 65 years old: I wish I could talk it over with Dad once more. (Anonymous) ================================================== ======= Steve, Dad's don't get a lot of recognition sometimes but remember this: We may not shower him with praise Nor mention his name in song, And sometimes it seems that we forget The joy he spreads as he goes along, But it doesn’t mean that we don’t know The wonderful role that he has had. And away down deep in every heart There’s a place that is just for Dad..... (Author Unknown--Modified by Chillen) ================================================== ======= A little boy needs Daddy For many, many things: Like holding him high off the ground Where the sunlight sings! Like being the deep music That tells him all is right When he awakens frantic with The terrors of the night. Like being the great mountain That rises in his heart And shows him how he might get home When all else falls apart. Like giving him the love That is his sea and air, So diving deep or soaring high He'll always find him there. A little girl needs Daddy For many, many things: Like holding her high off the ground Where the sunlight sings! Like being the deep music That tells her all is right When she awakens frantic with The terrors of the night. Like being the great mountain That rises in her heart And shows her how she might get home When all else falls apart. Like giving her the love That is her sea and air, So diving deep or soaring high She'll always find him there. (Not specified, modified by Chillen) ================================================== ======= Best wishes, Chillen
