My weight has only dropped 2 lbs -- but I'm not even a month in yet
I am happy to say that in 3 weeks, or a total of 11 training sessions my 5x5 squat has gone from 65 to 135, 5X5 bench 55 to 85, 5X5 barbell rows from 55 to 95, 1X5 deadlifts from 135 to 175, and 5X5 OHP from 55 - 70. I'm doing a fair amount of cardio too -- I haven't seen a big difference in the scale itself, but I can tell my clothes are starting to get looser. *happy dance* Last edited by Jen; 04-19-2012 at 04:08 PM. |

It's really good to see the progress we all have made. It's both motivational and inspirational. Keep it going

When I first began, I weighed approximately 205 pounds (give a or take), had man boobs, and severe back pain that the doc said was due to being too fat. Unfortunately I do not have a pic of my starting position. The closest I have is about 8 months into my first fitness goal, and this is it below:
![]() The date in the Picture is wrong. From 205 to 166 approximately here. In the above picture, I am carrying a lot of lower abdominal fat. This proved to be the hardest and most difficult to remove in the next few months after this pic. After this pic it took an immense amount of trial an error to learn what worked and what didn't in the dietary area, and getting my Workouts adjoined to what I was doing with my diet. I was about 166 in this pic. A drop of about 40 pounds over all. ================================== The end result a few months later was these Pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() The lower end was the most difficult and test on will, then I have ever experienced at the time. I learned much though bodily feed back, in which I use today. In these pics, I am a very light, 152 (morning weigh). Dropping about 50 or so pounds (from 205 to 152/154 approx). The pics on the far left (in my sig, are from this period) After leaning out (to make the post short), I decided to go through some bulk and cut cycles to add a few good pounds, in which leads to the present day. A few more months, pass, and I gained a few pounds, and began a cut cycle though bigger, I was rather smooth: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I then leaned out some more after this, which leads to present day, which are the pics in my sig on the far right. I am a bit leaner now, and weight about 168 approximately and about 8% DEXA. The difference between 166 about 8 months after FIRST starting (the very first pic in the post), and the weight of 168, marks a big difference in body composition (the last two pics in my sig). You can change your body at any age. 50 years old and still going strong. Though........I blew out my back and have a 4th vertebrae Hernia. I popped it when doing bent over rows, and like a stubborn dumb ass (one of my greatest assets and enemies...and pain in my ass... I mean back), I still finished the workout as scheduled.
