Default Riding mower

We are in need of a riding mower. Anyone know of a good brand that is reasonable? We have a push mower but our yard is so hilly and uneven that it is so hard to push. We have over an acre to mow as well and the kid that does our yard is going to graduating this year and will not have time to do the mowing for us.

John Deere is awesome, but a bit spendy. I've heard good things about Craftsman from Sears.

Kubota....pricey, but worth every penny. I've had one for 15 years and only problem I've had with it is I had to get a new battery once. They will last forever.

I have a Craftsman and it's a great mower. I always wait too long to get mowing my 1 acre and the weeds get 2 feet tall and thick. The Craftsman hacks right through it without a problem. Been running great for three years now. It does not like really steep slopes though, wish I'd got a 4wd model.

I have a 15 year old John Deere that is a war horse. Little tune up every 3-5 years and it rolls on...

I haul a lot of Deere's at work so I am pretty partial to the brand and the work it brings to my area, so I always recommend them. My whole family has their line from farm to utility to garden and everything in between and all seem to love them.
