We have to be able to work in our goals with the complexities, complications, and variables of life. A comparison to drive this home: The devil Satan, knows there is a God, he has seen God, has talked with God, he believes in God, the DIFFERENCE is he does NOT repent from his acts and carries them out anyway. The same analogy can be applied to diet and training: One can know what to do, how to do it, understand its truth and weed out the mistruths and lies, and STILL not want to do it (and this occurs mentally for the healthy person), and the DIFFERENCE between these persons and the ones that are successful, is in the mental framework of the mind desiring with all there heart and soul the goal they want to achieve. This thread hits a different area of diet and training that doesn't get much press or recognition as the logistics of diet and the differing types of training does. Its a shame, because in the end of things (when things are considered equal, and playing the average percentages), its the mental battles that normally doom the person from obtaining there goals--when they were achievable in the first place. Some dont need this sort of motivation in the mental sense (they already possess it in there own perceptive manner), others seek it every day, and others just once in a while to keep moving forward. In any event, we all need some sort of mental stimulation no matter how its achieved. Thus the reason for this thread, and I will sound off in this thread, each day (or close there to), for all the brothers and sisters in the fight. It will have articles, quotes, information, education material, other material, and tributes to M and B members. I have a natural interest in the well-being of others. It makes the world tick. I do like making people feel good about themselves, and this is genuine and true. Best regards to all of you. And, hope your day is going well. Chillen

Overcoming mental weakness while dieting and learning how to appropriately deal with them: I have mastered it instead of it mastering me.
One truest form of wisdom is learning to "master yourself" within your fitness goals. Learning rather quickly that the mind game one plays with ones self can either keep one on track, play a roller coaster ride, or throw one completely off track, and all the while, the body is waiting for you to get your SH@T together one way or the other, because it "will" follow what you decide to do: The body has no mind but will listen to your mind all the time. ================================================== ========= Staying true to "yourself" and not letting anyone tell YOU what your goals are. No matter what people tell you, the mind can play a "damaging" factor in fitness or a "positive and influential" factor in fitness. Its "under estimated" and yet so powerful. You can be the Master Plaster of your own Disaster or the Master Caster of your body Plaster. You decide which it is. Don't under estimate "whats happenen in your head" and have it apart of your fitness goals. Learning what motivates you as everyone is different. If something motivates you, and someone else doesn't understand,----"who cares". Its works for you. Failure can be a "poison" or a "benefit". You decide which one it is. Best regards, Chillen

Nothing specific, Chillen. It's extremely refreshing to be a part of a forum where most things I read are engineered or designed to uplift and encourage others to be better and to help them realize who they TRULY are and their TRUE potential. Just don't stop, man. Maybe one a day, if that's possible, even if they repeat. Who cares! A little motivation first thing in the morning to be your best at whatever you do.

I'd like to read something about how it's never too late and you're never too old to start training and become awesome at something!
