Also just to let everyone know I'm not an uneducated, bong blowing, nor thong wearing. My family has also been on a government pay check before when my mom was laid off. I will also say this summer I will most likely be doing work around WV to get Obama reelected. I am not 100% behind him but none of the conservatives are floating my boat either. I would much rather have someone such as Eliot Spitzer even with the scandal.

That is going to be my only political rant ever on this website, not because I am afraid to defend my beliefs or I am "afraid" of losing a debate. Instead I would like nothing to get personal on this website and my opinions of you guys to change. I wouldn't have even posted if not for poor tank.

Well I've discovered as years go by I'm somewhat more liberal than I initially thought. I don't believe government should dictate who can marry, what women can do with their bodies, and my right to privacy . But I am highly conservative when it comes to National defense, gun rights, immigration etc.

No matter if someone is on the right or left there has to be a balance. If you lean too far in one direction you fall over, if you drive too far off center you hit the ditch. People just need to except that neither group is completely correct. I am a Libertarian but only believe in about 75% of what they say. The only people who are wrong are those that agree with everything "their" party says because they normally aren't thinking for on their own.

I'll just say that, to me, the modern brands of "Neo-Con" or "Neo-Lib" (i.e., by and large, that which is embodied by those creatures currently being voted into places of power for a time) strike me not at all as being conservative or liberal, respectively.

I see the value in traditional conservative *and* traditional liberal outlooks. The common enemies are vast in number, spanning a void of moral bankruptcy that threatens to swallow us all...

But anyway, tribalism is indeed alive and "well". As ever. So it goes.

I can be Ultra Conservative or Bleedingly Liberal, it just depends on what we are talking about. If I had to label myself with some political faction, I guess Libertarian would be closest, yet still not a perfect fit.
