I see the biggest problem w/ a comp like this is too many variables in the lift without vids....ie squat depth, bench ROM, etc etc.

So, with that being said, I think all challenges should be deadlifts.

If a challenge is created and I don't show up, someone (bama) point the way for me.

I like all of the ideas so far, though I have never done a power clean, so my 1rm is currently 0.

DB Row - Max reps with 50% of BW, 1 set e.a (total reps (both arms) are counted)
With % of 1RM, that works for females as well, but % of BW is more complex due to the lesser overall strength...so would people be happy for that to be halved again for females i.e. 50% of BW for a man would be 25% of BW for a female? (that would be in relation to upperbody work)...not even sure I know of any females that can row 50% of their BW (if it's dumbbells).

Obviously lowerbody BW% would be around 70%+ for female doing the challenges because the % of strength for females is around 72% that of the male lowerbody strength...athletes, would be much stronger but with most being just fitness oriented, the same BW% would not work with the females.

What's a deadlift?

If squats were done, it would probably be stipulated that they must be at least below parallel. Thankfully as well, I think most of us trust each other on here to be honest, with it being for fun and are quite happy to say we failed.

I'm fine with female adjustments. This is all in good fun, and with how you enjoy challenges Babs we expect you to be in the top 3 as is. So it will be a challenge for us to beat you!

Looking at everyone interested in this overall challenge, i believe that we are all experienced and honest. So that should enable us to have more lifting challenges without debating correct form, ROM, etc. IMO

Most challenges, by their very nature, will more than likely fall in to a mix of strength and conditioning (or endurance, both physical and mental), very much like the challenges that were set before.

Are there any exercises that people feel should be omitted?
