Any experience with Asian women?

I'm normally not one to ask anyone for advice on "getting" a girl, but this is different for me. I'm hoping someone here knows a thing about Asian women. There's a Chinese girl in a class of mine. She's beautiful. A sweet girl. However, when I talk to her I freeze a bit. I'm almost like a nervous guy asking a girl out for the first time. Reason being I'm afraid of offending her in with cultural differences I may be unaware of. Advice? Maybe I'm profiling her too much?

My suggestion would be to talk to her about the class and the homework. Then, as you get closer, you could ask her about her culture and how she finds living in the west. Ask her if she has a favorite restaurant, then maybe she could take you there. That sort of thing.

My mother gave me some great advice when I started dating: Ask questions to get the person to talk about themselves. They will always remember you as someone easy to talk to.

This is great advice. Someone once told me that the way to make a friend is to ask questions.

Basically I should treat her like an American girl, huh? I've talked to her some about things in China. I probably have a good basis if I'm not stupid about everything. After reading your all's posts again I feel like I can "do this" now. Thanks a lot. I just got too caught up in her being Chinese I guess.

From my experiences Asian girls are prude. They will be more than eager to hang out with you, but if you start touching them to much they'll kind of keep themselves distant from you.
