I first glanced at the OP on my phone and was like, what...? And then I saw it was for your 12-year-old and I changed my opinion to: awesome! Really like the logo as well, the cat design is pretty sleek.

Is this like the "my friend has a drug problem and I want to know X" kind of thing? Using your "daughter's" site to cover the site you truly wanted to make but were afraid of public rejection.

I'll be keeping an eye on this. We're trying to grow my girlfriend's photography site to bring in more business, and this can only help with the learning process. Also, I'll try to get my friends to like the FB page. Shouldn't be too hard, cats are awesome.

My biggest advice on Facebook...post incredible image. The "shares" you get from them snowball and bring in likes.
I started doing this more often with MAB's Facebook page and it has added 3000+ people in the first 2 months.
