Top New Year's Resolutions
 

#1 resolution:

Step away from the computer more. I spend way too long on the computer for a guy that doesn't get payed to do it. I'm on it 3 or 4 hours a day just wasting a lot of valuable time. To that end I will be limiting the sites I visit and MaB will be my main lifting forum. I will spend the extra time with my kids that are growing up way too fast, talking with my lovely wife, and cleaning out my garage so I can get my leather shop back up and running. I'd love to start building saddles again and do that in my retirement years.

I personally do not make any that is pinpointed around the new year or its associated holiday. Personally, its an on-going self and environmental evaluation, in which I can change/modify/improve at any time during the course of the year, and make goals/adaptions accordingly despite the date, and implement dates, where applicable. In its general context attributed to the general public, resolutions generally do not last, and do not work for very long.

My big goal is to plan my meals. I am not one that likes to set vaporous goals. I like to set long and short term goals and be proactive to plan against possible pitfalls.

I want to lose 50 pounds in 2012 and having "go to" meals, side dishes and snacks will help. I like to have a snack option for every possible craving.

Since 2002, when we decided to lose weight and get exercising, we haven't made any resolutions; but the ones we made in 2002, stayed with us even though we've had ups and downs along the way, whether it's because we literally started the resolutions on the 1st Jan 2002, I can't say...but it certainly came as a weird shock when hubby said "Today is the New Year, so it starts today"...doubt there are many, if any, that forego the New Year's food fest on the 1st of the month. :)

Of course, you could suggest it and watch people's reactions :D

I am starting today :)

One of my resolutions is to be a better dad and husband. Sometimes I work so hard to support my family that I don't relax enough when I do have time away.

I need to stop working as much. I work way toooo much.

New resolution...limit food binges to birthdays and special events only.

1. Keep getting stronger
2. Start strongman style training in the summer
3. Keep improving my piano technique and musicality.
4. Become a better man

1. Get fit.
2. Get my diet in check.
3. Spend less time in front of the computer screen and use it to do something constructive. Like... play video games.
