Didn't do too bad. Got into equipped lifting and made 280 Squat and 280 (or 270?) Dead. I never really went and did a proper equipped bench for any period of time but was hitting 180+ for slingshot work so was pretty confident the strength was there for a 180 bench. Bodyweight was down from a peak of 104kg down to 85kg and now sits at around 89kg.

Probably more important than those in the long-run was getting back onto the platform after a 6 year hiatus due to injury. So for my first year back into heavy training after 6 years this was a success. Onwards from here.

Goals for the coming year will be raw and equipped based. Both are important and I've learned some lessons about training in the gear this year which will serve me well.

So all in all a pretty good year.

Well, let me see, health (hubby's too) pretty much DID interfere on a grand scale and I never hit a 100kg DL; I guess I got mine in reverse. Maybe next year will be better.

On the other hand, I have managed to incorporate some Oly lifting this year which I've been enjoying.

Considering it has been health standing in my way and not me, per se, I have no regrets but I still wish that health hadn't stood in my way.

Let's see how I did:

Deadlift win - 700x2 off of 3" blocks.
Squat win - 600 at UPA Nationals.
Bench Press semi-win - 450 max w/Slingshot in the dungeon.
Military Press - wo win, but hit 315.

I am happy with this. I set goals I thought were reasonable, but hard to achieve and hit nearly 3 out of 4.

I am very fortunate just to have gotten back to the gym this year, due to some major health issues. I feel i have made some good gains already, or at least got back what I lost after 10 months out of the game! So that in itself is BIG to me for this year! In the 3 months that I have been back I see improvements in my legs when I look down @ them (better than before) Once I get the ole arm fixed it is 'ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!'

I also would like to clean and press 205 to a lesser extent,
and I'd like to participate in one powerlifting competition by the end of next year.

We'll see.
Stayed healthy and consistent -Cha Ching!
Total 924 in a meet - Boo Hiss!
Total gym lifts 985 - Close but no cigar
Squat - 335 Cha Ching!
Bench 275 Cha Ching!
Deadlift 365 - Boo Hiss!
C+P N/A as I really didn't train this very much. I bet I could get 185 though.
Competed in two meets this year - Cha Ching!

Not bad. Funny, but I kind of thought I was being a bit unrealistic when I made these goals.

And the year isn't over yet! Might still get that deadlift before the ball drops!

I'll have to noodle some good goals for 2013!
