World News: Outrage in China over shocking video of toddler left to die on road - thestar.com

A rickshaw driver, a motorcyclist and even a woman hand-in-hand with a young child noticed the toddler, but neglected to stop. The girl was run over a second time by a light-duty truck.

After the first van driver struck the little girl, he paused, his vehicle straddling the girl’s torso, before driving forward, running her over a second time with his back wheel.

I saw that - it was somewhere in the USA wasn't it?

I know the car fire one was from US, for some time after that it seemed like a few new similar videos would pop up on the news from US and abroad.

Nevertheless - the culture, the community? Who knows... it took a dozen passersby before one guy just dragged her to the side of the road. Not that it EVER should have happened, but those 2 drivers are in the right prison system...

Selfishness and lack of compassion for fellow man is everywhere...

That video is very disturbing, but I am not really surprised at the people walking by doing nothing.

Its more disturbing to most of us, because this is a small child, and for some reason humans have developed a sense that a child's life is more valued than an adults. But that's neither here nor there.

In the US, and local to me, a man hit another man on a scooter at 6am on his way to work. The scooter was stuck underneath the car, and the man layed on the windshield of that car, as the other man drove 2 miles, before finally being pulled over by the city police. The road he was hit on is a huge commuter road, spanning 3 lanes wide to handle the heavy city traffic. During the time that this happened, I don't remember them ever noting that anyone ever called the police, and at that time of the day, I can tell you for a fact that I'm positive plenty of people would have witnessed the incident.

The man died later that day....

My point is that its not just China who is a sick and demented country... Its the state of mind of today's world that is careless and selfish. We, the world, all need to change our ways if we wish to exist.
