I never buy generic anything (save allergy meds). I find the product I like the most and use it like a loyal zombie. I believe in paying for convenience. It's why I work. And I'm picky and particular as f*ck. Substitutions are not allowed.

I rather buy meat at the butchers, even if its more expensive and harder to get (but not always) than i buy the vacum packed, watery mess they sell in most stores. Also milk, i pay more for the localy produced, fresh and raw milk i drink. Big taste difference and overall much more healty.

Depends, there's cheap and then there's cheap. A cheaper product isn't always necessarily the worse product. However, we're fussy about toilet paper
 and I always use Johnson's Baby shampoo, I'll accept no cheap baby shampoo brands

Tools are a big one for me. I snapped a ratchet when I was changing the spark plugs on my car (I brought the ratchet that day as well), I had half the spark plugs out, and no way of putting knew ones in. Had to use my moms car to drive to the shops to get a decent one...
Same with screw drivers and pens. I dont buy bad quality knives and flashlights, if you need it in an emergency, you need it to be reliable

In my line of work a quality multi tool and knife are worth their weight in gold. I would never go cheap on them or bootlaces.
