Danes Taxing Fat...
Even though they have one of the lowest rates of Obesity in the world... Would this work in the USA? (Or will it work there, even) I'm sorta on the fence about this as we know it's more a battle with over consumption of "Bad" calories (Overly processed food, that spikes insulin and promotes fat storage) than it is a battle of eating fat. Pretty sure we can all agree that it reinforces the myth of "Eating Fat Makes You Fat", which is something that needs to be debunked and re-examined. Thoughts? |

Utterly ridiculous. Fat doesn't make you fat, excess calories makes you fat. Taxing meat? So what people just eat processed carb's which are cheaper? "Hello Denmark speaking, is that type II diabetes? We've been expecting you."
 The failboat has landed in Denmark. On the plus side they make epic bacon which should hopefully make its way over to the UK in larger quantities now  LtL

A huge part of the problem is that processed carbs are CHEAP. Much cheaper than real food already. Now they're making the things that people SHOULD eat even more expensive than they already are.
GREAT JOB. Just another case of politicians doing something that LOOKS good, even if it only causes more money spent and NO actual help to anyone. |
