Default Lifting heavy weights makes girls really muscular and bulky right...?

...WRONG. Thought you guys might enjoy this both for the passion and strength of the girl and the fact that it contradicts what waaaaay too many of our female population believe about strength training.

Enjoy.

That's a perfect example. Most women would die for her muscle tone.

But to look "toned" you need to do high reps with light weights, right?

Muscular and bulky looking is only one area that needs to be addressed, the other one is that females have this issue with not feeling "soft"; I was once informed that a female wanted my body shape but once she felt my bicep, she launched straight in to the "I don't want to lose that feminine softness", it didn't dawn on her that a muscle is only really solid to the touch when it's flexed.

There's a long way to go where females and strength training is concerned.

The images in fitness magazines say so...

They are as bad as Weiderland, setting women up to fail. I've interviewed close to 100 top female athletes, and nearly everyone of them commented that when they started to train hard they finally saw results.

Yeah, it's really frustrating considering how much power the media has.

Stuff like
and this really don't help our cause. I mean, why use actual effort and do deads and squats when you can simply roll your legs in and out in a futile effort to tone them?

I have a co-worker that is a young guy who really hasn't dated any women at all. He's quite religious, so chasing women is not on his top priority list as it is for most 23 year old young men. But I showed him this girl deadlifting 225+ at a body-weight of 115. She was really lean and had an excellent body. He made the comment that she looked good, but it wasn't his type of woman. He said he likes his women to be "soft" and not stronger than him. I asked him what the **** "soft" meant, because to me it means fat. Lol, and stronger than him? He's like 120 soaking wet.

Poor kid just doesn't know. I've offered to help him train when he decides he wants to be more than he is now. He's made several attempts on his own to go to the gym using the free trials. So when he gets his membership, I'll head over there with him and teach the little guy some things.
