I wish I could Kit. that would require a good bit of custom coding. rRight now the forums each have a unique identifying number and I can filter out a number by adding in to a mod. There is no way to list new posts though.

It's a good idea.

In such a case I think its still better to stick to the current layout as opposed to the previous one.

I don't find it a problem to look through everything, even though I'm not a big log guy.
