If I went for sushi, I'd have something come up too...the sushi.

I was awakened by wife and kids singing a Happy Father's Day song conga style. Breakfast in bed. Some love seat sittin', gift openin', cuddle time. The oldest girl was lobbying for a trip to Mall of America, but I just wasn't feeling it. I had to lift and mow the lawn. Maybe next weekend.

Let me be the last to wish everyone a Happy Father's Day. I read an article on the origin of the celebration. It turns out it was originally Fathers' Day (with the apostrophe AFTER the "s"). In this country, President Nixon made it an official holiday in 1972. The Dutch word for Father is "Vader." So it should have been no surprize to anyone when the "Dark lord of the Sith" made his proclaimation to Luke Skywalker.

Fathers day started at 04:45am with the alarm telling me to get up, and go to work. Walked back in the door at 8:05pm, with the Wife saying she was hungry, and lets go eat. My day finally wound down around 11:30 after I had a chance to sit a veg for a couple of hours after the dinner trip. Whats a 19hr day among friends.

They all wrote me some nice cards, and bought me a new pair of sunglasses. The Wife bought a new coffee pot that she wanted, and gave it to me as a gift.
