I made a snow fort with my nephew this weekend. He wanted it destroyed, so I helped.

Once built an igloo, lasted for weeks after the snow had gone...and it was great for snowball fights when the top melted and left a solid wall; though we did go overboard on smoothing the base out...ice-skating rinks had nothing on us

Snow sculpting is actually a recognised art/sport (??) there's some fantastic pics of contests online.
