Um,.. Steve,
It took 4, count them FOUR months for this person to make this happen. I see on TV how they promise AMAZING results in as little as 6 weeks! What do you have to say about that??????? WELL! Sure you could say, yea, well this is real life, and this really is what can be accomplished with hard work and persaverance. Not sure who this is, but that is seriously good work on those lifts. A person my Wife works with has a trainer at a local big name fitness center helping her. CARDIO, CARDIO,CARDIO!! Boso balls, and that crap. She needs to lose about 35lbs, and has been told this will take 9 months to accomplish. I'd love to get her in my garage, and have her strength train for 4 months. Quote:

That is awesome steve, and amazing results in 4 months.
I know people that have been training for 4 years without those kind of results, because of bad programming. You da man!

Thanks Jeremy. I would love to take credit for his progress, but one thing you can never instill in someone is a work ethic.
For every guy like this, I see 20 with excuses and missed workouts. Such is life.

My bench started at 95 for 4 reps. I was epic small-bone failure guy.

When I was 15 I was convinced I was a hardgainer. Years later when I learned that I had to work consistantly with progression as my goal I was not nearly as hard a gainer. Now in my late 40's I find it fairly easy to put on muscle, even though I still have to work hard at it.
A huge advantage that I have over young people is that I don't have to fight my metabolism. I don't have to eat like a human garbage truck, to stay ahead of the curve. Working around my aging connective tissue is a downside however. |

I remember being worried I couldn't do 135 on flat bench. Nowadays, I can press 135 up like it's an empty bar. In fact, a few weeks ago I wanted to see how long I could just keep doing it for. I stopped at 34 reps only because my phone started ringing and I knew I had to take the call.... If I only wasn't such a lush at times, I'd be doing PL meets by now probably..lol
