When more and more athelets testing possitive for the substance and balming it on supplement companies , How long do u think 1,3 Dimeth will continue??

On June 13, 2010, a swimmer Ante Krizan (CRO) was tested positive to the substance Methylhexaneamine (Class S6. Stimulants) following a doping control test conducted with the occasion of the International Swimming Competitions “Golden Bear”.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Croatian Swimming Federation imposed a sanction of 9 months’ ineligibility on the athlete which began on June 13, 2010.


On June 20, 2010, a swimmer Sean Mahoney (USA) was tested positive to the substance Methylhexaneamine (Class S6. Stimulants) following a doping control test conducted with the occasion of the Santa Clara International Grand Prix, USA.

The USA Swimming imposed a sanction of 6 months’ ineligibility on the athlete which began on July 17, 2010.

Methylhexanamine was implicated as a stimulant used by five Jamaican athletes in 2009. JADCO, the Jamaican anti-doping panel, was initially unable to determine whether it was prohibited by the rules,[11] but subsequently decided to impose sanctions on some of the affected athletes on the grounds that the drug was similar in structure to the banned substance tuaminoheptane.[12]

During the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Nigerian athlete Damola Osayemi was stripped of her gold medal in the 100m after methylhexanamine was detected during drug testing.[13] Subsequently, another Nigerian athlete, Samuel Okon, who finished sixth in the 110m hurdles, also tested positive for the drug.[14]

In October 2010, two Portuguese cyclists - Rui Costa and his brother Mario - tested positive for the substance. The samples were taken during the Portuguese National Championships at the end of June.[15]

In October 2010, nine Australian athletes have been found by Australian Sports Anti-doping Authority to have tested positive for the substance. These players may include NRL and AFL players. [16]

In November 2010 two South African rugby union players, Chiliboy Ralepelle and Bjorn Basson, were found to have tested positive for the substance on their annual tour of the Northern Hemisphere, and were immediately sent home from the tour by the South African Rugby Union, although it is possible that the players may have ingested the substance inadvertently in the form of medication for flu symptoms.[17]

Well then if they are the same thing ... my answer to your original question "How long before a 1,3 dimeth ban", would be ... It has already been banned.

no i mean straight up banned like illegal to posses in the US like it is in new zealand. You know controlled substance

Putting it into that context ... the answer could be anything from 1 year to never. It would have to become very well known and successful to come on the radar, then a lot of Doctors would need to complain they are losing money from diet programs.

Athletic groups are far more apt to ban it as they are already doing. Where people seem to be getting into trouble is the name of the ingredient. Would appear there are a half dozen different names for the same product and if that is not problematic enough, Methylhexanamine is a compound found in the plant geranium. Some product like "Jack3d" do not list any of the compound names on their ingredients but "Geranium" is listed.

yes indeed methylhexanamine is from the geranium plant and it is problematic

Once Weed is legal across the board...they'll need something to ban.

There will be a total flip.... Drugs legal...supplements banned

Cali did not legalize it beyond the current Medical weed. We will see it on the next dozen ballots until it finally passes.
