The core of mine is lead, not plutonium.

Here's my educated guess:

509.5 lbs

This is my logic:

72/lb of lead eats up about 176.5 cu/in of space (6.53oz per cu/in)

subtract that volume from the concrete that it displaces

176.5 cu/in of concrete weighs about 1.32 oz per cu/in

this leaves us with a net gain of about 57.5 pounds.

Add this to the existing 452lb..

Am I doing it right?

That would be a good guess but the insert came out to 66lbs and was able to get in about 15-20lbs more concrete into the mold than the last one. But yes, you come up with a guess and I'll have it weighed in a few weeks. Also, you need a name to go with your guess.

Broke it out of the mold. So far so good. Looks a lot better than my last stone. Another week to cure, then smooth out the edges and then hopefully weigh it the following week and seal it up.

My 550lbs capacity scale arrived yesterday so I'll know how much it weighs later today after I sand down the edge a little.

Stone weighed in at 494.8lbs so it will be known as J Lo.
