He came in toward the top of his qual group, and placed 9th out of 10 for the finals.

Yea I gathered that... Im asking what the reasoning is, if the quad issue came back or wasn't 100% healed or...

I don't know, the broadcast marketing on WSM is ****ing bull****. It won't hit ESPN unil Dec-Feb timeframe, and the competitors this year had to sign contracts agreeing to be banned from future competition if they divulge results before they air! I'm really irritated by this because I have a good chance of scoring an interview with Shaw but have to wait until the competition airs to discuss his performance, even though everyone with internet access knows how they did.

I don't know exactly. I don't think It's just with ESPN because the UK has a similar situation for Bravo (not to be confused with the American gay channel), so it sounds like it's with IMG.

It's all marketing and air schedule conflicts. WSM is not nearly as big as we would like it to be... Hopefully, it get saired sooner than later. And more hopefully, they don't string it out for 3 months.. Problem is, no other channel would pick it up if ESPN dropped it.

It's the same for the World Series of Poker.. Yes, F'ing poker is aired on a sports channel..

If you're refering to Versus, they used to air IFSA Strongman near real-time so I imagine their vewership would be accomidating to WSM.

Yeah true, but...ESPN has a much bigger viewing audience than Versus. I love VS, but not every cable company carries them. ESPN is pretty much THE sports channel for cable companies..
