Official Film Discussion and Last Movie You Watched Thread

The Cold Light of Day, good film, plenty of action with a storyline. Sigourney Weaver played a brilliant rogue agent role; I was a bit surprised to find that Bruce Willis only had a short part to play and kept expecting him to pop-up somewhere in the film. Certainly entertaining though.



We had the cinema to ourselves and the staff were considering not running the film because they had booked the room next to the cinema which had groups of kiddies playing fiddle music. So, after asking the people that were in the next room (the tutors or organisers of the music session) and speaking to us and deciding that we were happy to hear the sound from the adjoining room and they had no issues, they ran the film. Not that it was that much of an issue; I heard some of the fiddle music briefly but probably because I have hearing ranging on the high-end of the spectrum whereas hubby never heard anything but the film, and the projectionist turned the volume up a bit to cover any possible noise anyway.

Battleship, excellent action film, even if half of it would be impossible in reality; who cares, it's a film.

Contraband, a bit of a let-down, though it was a good film all-round, acting was okay, script was okay and the cinematography was okay...but it lacked a certain something, maybe it was just a bit too predictable.

American Pie: Reunion, probably the best comedy I've seen this year. If you like the American Pie films, then this one is a must.

I saw "The Avengers" (aka: Thor 2 LOL :P ) *AGAIN* you would think that Thor swinging "Mjolnir" around to have the ability to fly would seem silly, but it works.
